Saatçioğlu noted that the number of tourists coming to Antalya in the first 6 months of the year increased by 13% compared to the same period last year. He said, “This increase is a very positive development, but when we look at our hotels, we do not see the same reflection. After the pandemic, approximately 108 thousand houses were sold to foreigners in Antalya. There are various reasons for this. Russians and Ukrainians coming from the war bought houses, and there are other foreign nationals who bought houses to obtain citizenship. Because of this, I think the increase in the number of tourists coming to Antalya is not reflected in the hotels. If we maintain the 13% increase in the number of tourists, we will have hosted approximately 18 million tourists in Antalya.”
