A Strategic investment in Baltic tourism
In an official statement, Novaturas announced that prominent Turkish businessman and investor Neşet Koçkar has become a shareholder in the company. Describing the agreement as an “exciting development,”
Novaturas stated:
"Our shareholders have signed a binding agreement aimed at finalizing the primary contract with Neşet Koçkar, a well-known Turkish entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in international aviation, real estate, tourism, and various other sectors."
Kaikaris: Strengthening competitive advantage
Novaturas Group CEO Kristijonas Kaikaris emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating:
"The arrival of a strategic investor marks an important step for the growth of Novaturas Group and presents new opportunities for our company’s development. Through the synergy created with our new shareholder’s business portfolio, we will be able to offer our customers more attractive travel solutions. Acquisition of a one-third Stake
Koçkar has acquired a 33.2% stake in Novaturas, with the share transfer set to occur in two phases. The first phase is expected to be completed within a few weeks, while the second phase will be finalized following a detailed review process.
Operating in the Baltic market since 1999, Novaturas collaborates with 400 travel agencies across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The company offers travel products in 30 destinations worldwide and is the largest tour operator in the Baltic region, with publicly traded shares.
This strategic move is expected to drive innovation, expand market reach, and strengthen Novaturas’ position as a leading tourism brand in the Baltic countries.
