Operating across various segments of the tourism industry—including aviation, tour operations, and hotel management—Corendon Tourism Group has maintained a strong presence for 20 years.

A historic first flight

Corendon Airlines conducted its inaugural flight on April 12, 2005, departing from Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands and landing at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. This flight marked a historic milestone as the first passenger aircraft to land at the newly opened airport on Istanbul’s Asian side. Since then, Corendon Airlines has experienced rapid growth, now serving approximately 10 million passengers annually.

"A Great source of pride for us"

Reflecting on the company’s achievements, Corendon Airlines Chairman Yıldıray Karaer stated, “Completing 20 years of flight operations is a great source of pride for us. What started as a journey with just two aircraft in 2005 has now made us one of Europe’s leading leisure airlines.”

Karaer added, “We are delighted to celebrate this significant milestone. We extend our deepest gratitude to our more than 2,000 dedicated employees, our passengers, and our business partners who have contributed to this success.”

Expanding its routes and fleet

Corendon Airlines now operates flights from more than 50 airports worldwide, connecting travelers to some of the Mediterranean’s most popular holiday destinations. The airline’s fleet consists of 31 Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Strong presence in Germany and the United Kingdom

Having established a strong foothold in German-speaking markets, Corendon Airlines initially focused its flight network on connections to Antalya. It launched its first Germany-to-Antalya flight on April 10, 2006, from Paderborn. Since then, Corendon Airlines has operated approximately 55,000 flights from German airports.

The airline expanded its operations significantly due to high demand and successful partnerships with travel agencies. It established its first German operational base at Cologne Bonn Airport on May 1, 2019, followed by Nürnberg in October 2019, Hannover in 2020, and Düsseldorf in 2021. From these airports, Corendon Airlines transports passengers to top vacation spots in Türkiye, Greece, Egypt, Spain, and Morocco.

Beyond Germany, Corendon Airlines has secured a strong position in the UK market, offering direct flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow to Antalya and Heraklion. This expansion has solidified its reputation as one of the preferred leisure airlines for British holidaymakers.

In addition to Germany and the UK, Corendon Airlines also operates in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland. The airline’s fleet, registered in Malta, Türkiye, and the Netherlands, comprises 31 aircraft, with its headquarters based in Antalya.

Corendon Group’s growing operations

Corendon Airlines operates under the multinational Corendon Tourism Group, which also includes Corendon Europe Airlines, registered in Malta with 13 aircraft, and Corendon Dutch Airlines, headquartered in Amsterdam. Corendon Dutch Airlines offers long-haul flights to Caribbean destinations such as Bonaire and Curaçao.
