Corendon Airlines, which saw a 20 percent increase in passenger numbers during the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, transporting 2 million passengers, is looking to expand its presence in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The company aims to strengthen its partnerships with travel agencies and tour operators in these regions.
For the upcoming winter season, Corendon Airlines will operate from 24 airports across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The airline also plans to implement a comprehensive and stable flight schedule for 2025.
Yıldıray Karaer, CEO of Corendon Airlines, expressed optimism about the coming year, stating that the positive outlook and strong numbers indicate that they are on the right track. "Building on this foundation, we are intensifying our sales efforts to become the preferred holiday airline in German-speaking countries," Karaer added.
Christian Hein, who took over as Sales and Marketing Director for Corendon Airlines in June, highlighted the company’s desire to enhance cooperation with tour operators and travel agencies. Hein mentioned that they have already taken initial steps in this direction and will continue to pursue these efforts in the future.
For the winter season, Hein announced the offering of 600,000 seats from 24 airports in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This capacity is targeted at destinations such as the Canary Islands, including Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Tenerife, as well as Egypt’s Red Sea resorts of Marsa Alam and Hurghada, and Antalya in Türkiye.
Looking ahead to the peak summer season of 2025, Corendon Airlines plans to provide 500 weekly connections. The airline has allocated 2 million seats for the 2025 summer season, operating from 18 airports in Germany, 4 in Austria, and 2 in Switzerland.
