The figures that announced by the Central Bank of Türkiye, the current account surplus in August stood at $4.324 billion.
The current account deficit for the January-August period was recorded at $9.665 billion, a significant improvement from $38 billion during the same period last year.
Net travel revenues reached $30.6 billion over eight months
In August, net inflows from the services balance amounted to $8.696 billion, with $6.793 billion stemming from net revenues in the travel sector.
During the January-August period, net inflows from the services balance reached $39.205 billion, with $30.601 billion of this amount generated by net travel revenues.
For comparison, net inflows from the services balance during the same period last year were $37.387 billion.
