The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has frequently highlighted "record-breaking" tourism figures in recent reports, with some industry representatives praising the sector's positive trajectory. However, the updated MTP for 2025 and 2026 reflects a downward revision in the country’s tourism revenue goals.

When comparing data from the 2024-2026 MTP with the newly announced 2025-2027 program, the tourism revenue target for 2024 remains unchanged at $59.6 billion. However, the 2025 target has been lowered from $64.7 billion to $63.6 billion, and the 2026 target has been adjusted down from $71.3 billion to $68.7 billion. For 2027, the tourism revenue target is set at $74.1 billion.
