According to figures released by the Federal Security Service of Russian Federation (FSB), number of trips of Russians to abroad has increased by 9 percent to 12,6 million in six moths of the year, compared the same period of 2023. In terms of visitor increase, Türkiye leads by 9,4 percent.
Figures that released by FSB contains purpose of business, tourism, private visits, education, permanent residence and military services. It reflects not number people visiting abroad but number of total trips.
Türkiye recorded a 9.4 percent increase
TurkRus reports that Türkiye continues to be number one destinations among Russians. Between January and June, number visits from Russia to Türkiye has increased 9,4 percent and reached to 2,5 million. That means Türkiye is clear winner of Russian travel market.
In Russia, Türkiye is followed by Abhazya (+2,8 percent), Kazakhstan (-9 percent), UAE (+11,7) China (+14,5) and Thailand (+30,1).
Over 405 thousand touristic travel to China
In first six months, 4,9 million Russian citizens travel to abroad with purpose of holiday. This number reflects 20 percent increase.
In the half of 2024, number of visitors Russia has also increased by 11,5 percent to 7,9 million. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China were the countries sending the most visitors to Russia.
In the same period, Russians made 405 thousand travel to China, while number of visitors to from China to Russia reached to 302 thousand.
