Following the bankruptcy of FTI, TUI's managers traveled to Türkiye to meet with leaders of tourism associations and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The visit aimed to discuss future collaboration and strategic growth.
Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI Group, along with Stefan Baumert, CEO of TUI Central Region, visited Turkey to engage in discussions with Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and representatives from Türkiye hotelier Federations (TÜROFED), Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers Association (AKTOB), hotels, and other tourism stakeholders.
Ebel and Ersoy agree on 'strategic -growth plan'
During the visit, Ebel and Minister Ersoy agreed on a strategic plan for sustainable growth. The TUI executives announced plans to increase flight capacity for the remaining summer season and upcoming winter and future seasons by reviewing the flight frequencies of their airlines.
TUI launches promotional campaign in Türkiye
TUI officials made the following statement: "TUI is swiftly responding to support its customers, as well as its retail, airline, and hotel partners. For example, TUI Germany has launched a promotional campaign with attractive offers for Türkiye and has waived customer deposits for new summer season bookings. Retail stores will receive an extra commission for new Türkiye bookings to cover additional costs. From June 4th to June 11th, TUI is offering a special Sun300 promotion for new bookings for the travel period up to December 22, 2024, with savings of up to 300 Euros on package bookings."
