Tourists who visited the district's most expensive restaurants shared these experiences on social media, causing an outcry among tourism professionals.

Okan Çağla, General Manager of Acropol Of Bodrum Beach Hotel, stated, "We have mostly domestic guests at Ortakent Beach. We can't say we are experiencing a bad tourism season. Nor can it be said that it's a very good season. These news about high prices do not reflect the truth. There is a vacation for every budget in Bodrum. Already, the heads of chambers and NGO presidents made a joint statement regarding the negative and high-price perception and news. This perception of high prices and the news that Bodrum is very expensive on social media do not reflect the truth. Expensive holidays are not found everywhere in Bodrum. There is a vacation for every budget in Bodrum. We are having a busy day and expect it to continue this way. Time will tell, but everything is quite good for now," he said.

Hasan Yiğit, operator of Herodot Beach Hotel, expressed that his hotel and beach are completely full, saying, "Our hotel is packed to the brim, and we had to turn away 20 people from the beach due to full capacity. We don't have a single empty sunbed, table, or chair left. The news is not true; there are other intentions and purposes behind it. The summer excitement has been going on for two weeks. There are expensive areas in some parts of Bodrum, but it is not possible to say Ortakent Beach is expensive in my opinion. The number of domestic tourists at Ortakent Beach is slightly higher," he said.
