April tourism revenue exceeds 9.5 billion euros
In April 2024, Spain's tourism revenue reached 9 billion 565 million euros, a 13.1% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. Among the main source markets, the United Kingdom was the top contributor with 1 billion 598 million euros, followed by Germany with 1 billion 405 million euros, France with 872 million euros, and Italy with 373 million euros.
4-month revenue reaches 31.5 billion euros
From January to April, Spain's tourism revenue increased by 22.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 31 billion 513 million euros. In the first four months of Spain's best tourism year, 2019, the revenue was 22.5 billion euros.
Per capita and average daily spending by tourists
In April, the average spending per tourist in Spain increased by 5.4% to 183 euros, while the average total spending per tourist increased by 4.4% to 1,221 euros.
