Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy shared the visitor numbers for museums and archaeological sites for the first half of the year on his social media account. According to the figures announced by Ersoy under the title "We Are Proud," nearly 14 million people visited museums and archaeological sites in the first six months of 2024.

Ersoy noted that the number of visits increased by 12% compared to the previous year and listed the most visited museums and archaeological sites as follows:

Nevşehir / Göreme Archaeological Site

Ersoy concluded his post by saying, "We are happy that interest in the heritage of these lands, which sheds light on human history, is growing day by day."
