Known for its historical landmarks and stunning natural beauty, Antalya has achieved a new milestone in tourism. According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of tourists visiting Antalya in the first 11 months of the year increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, reaching a record 16,6 million visitors.
The city, a favorite among both domestic and international tourists, also recorded a 17.21% increase in visitors in November, with 474,6 thousand foreign tourists arriving during the month.
Germany leads in November visitor numbers
In November, Germany topped the list of countries sending visitors to Antalya, with 138 thousand arrivals. The Russian Federation followed in second place with 98,471 visitors, while the United Kingdom ranked third with 52 thousand visitors.
Other leading countries contributing significant visitor numbers included Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Belgium, and Austria.
Russia dominates year-to-date statistics
From January to November, Russia led the visitor statistics with 3 million 863 tourists. Germany secured second place with 3 million 436 thousand visitors, while the United Kingdom ranked third with 1 million 540 thousand arrivals.
Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania rounded out the list of top countries contributing to Antalya's robust tourism performance.
