The Efes Experience Museum, located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ephesus, has been honored with the "Best Museum" award. The museum triumphed at the Mondo-Dr Awards, one of the world's most prestigious recognitions in technology, design, and exhibition.
Outshining global competitors
The Efes Experience Museum surpassed renowned museums such as Paris's Eternal Mucha and Denmark's Carl Nielsen and Regan Vest to secure a place among the top four. In the finals, it competed against the Aramco VIP Visitor Center in Riyadh, India's India in Fashion, and Paris's Dome Des Invalides Museums.
This year, the Efes Experience Museum clinched the first place in the "Museums" category at the Mondo-Dr 2024 Awards. The award ceremony was held in Las Vegas on June 12th. Notably, last year’s winner in the same category was Dubai’s "Museum of the Future."
Pioneering experiential museology with historical narratives
The Mondo-Dr Awards, organized by the UK-based Mondiale Publishing, which has been continuously published for 40 years, celebrated its 7th edition this year. The awards aim to recognize the best projects and achievements in the exhibition and hospitality sectors, focusing particularly on design, visitor experience, and technical equipment.
The Efes Experience Museum, developed and operated by DEM Museology under the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was awarded based on evaluations by an independent jury of international experts. This prestigious award recognizes museums that combine "Experiential Museology" with historical storytelling.
