Schmetterling International, one of Germany's largest agency networks, continues its efforts to promote tourism with Türkiye. The company held its congress in Izmir last year, receiving positive feedback from this successful event.

Invited by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Schmetterling International CEO Ömer Karaca came to Istanbul for a special meeting where he shared his views on Turkish tourism. Ersoy and Karaca exchanged ideas about Türkiye's tourism products and relations with Germany, discussing further cooperation opportunities.

Minister Ersoy noted that the positive reflections from last year's Schmetterling International Congress in Izmir, attended by 500 German agencies, and the gala night at the ancient city of Ephesus were evident in this year's sales. He mentioned the possibility of new collaborations for this year and the next.

Highlighting that this meeting would pave the way for new initiatives, Ömer Karaca said, "We are working to introduce Türkiye's rich nature, history, and cultural treasures to a wider audience and to promote sustainable tourism practices. We are confident that Türkiye will become even more attractive to German tourists in the coming years."

Minister Ersoy also asked Karaca where they planned to hold next year's congress. Karaca, noting that the program was not yet finalized, emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation for long-term success.
