After the bankruptcy of FTI, which brought the most tourists to Türkiye during the winter season, the German branch of ANEX Group made a remarkable move. Operating in Germany under the brands Anex Tour, Bucher Reisen, Öger Tours, and Neckermann Reisen, ANEX Group has substantially expanded its 2024-25 winter program in the country.

Last-minute demand expected to double

Yasir Karaçor, General Manager of ANEX Group in Germany, stated that due to FTI's bankruptcy and the weather conditions in Germany, the demand for last-minute holidays to Türkiye, Greece, Spain, and Egypt could reach twice that of last year. He added, "Winter season sales are currently ahead compared to the previous year. Our guests are benefiting from early booking discounts of up to 45%."

Increased number of hotels in Spain to 560

Karaçor explained that they have expanded their program in Spain. "We have doubled the number of hotels included in our program in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, and mainland Spain to 560. Most of the newly added facilities are in the Canary Islands, with 350 new properties added there," he said.

It is noted that ANEX Tour and Neckermann have reached agreements on 'attractive prices' with 20 hotels belonging to the Lopesan chain, THB, and SBH groups. The offers from tour operators will be featured in the winter catalog for the Canary Islands. In mainland Spain, the company has partnered with hotels in Costa de la Luz and Costa del Sol and has tripled the number of hotels in Mallorca, adding 90 new properties to its portfolio.

250 hotels in Egypt, 335 hotels in Türkiye

In Egypt, the company has opened 250 hotels for winter sales, 150 of which are in Hurghada. Additionally, it has expanded winter offerings in Türkiye, especially through Öger Tours. Öger Tours portfolio includes 150 hotels, Neckermann's portfolio has 70, and the catalogs of ANEX Tour and Bucher Reisen feature 115 properties.

New hotels added in long-haul destinations

The group has also increased its hotel portfolio in long-haul destinations and plans to grow through Neckermann in these regions. In the Caribbean island of Curacao, where it recently entered, the company has put 10 properties up for sale and increased the number of hotels in the Dominican Republic from 50 to 166. Through Neckermann and Bucher, the company has added 68 hotels in Miami, USA, and offers 20 hotels in New York for its guests.
