Paul Stevens, who also oversees Accor's Premium, Mid-Scale, and Economy Hotels in the Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye, announced the introduction of the Handwritten Collection and ibis budget brands to the Turkish market.

"We are very excited to introduce our new brands to the Turkish tourism market," said Stevens, highlighting that Accor globally owns more than 40 hotel brands, 13 of which are already present in Türkiye. "We plan to launch our ibis family brands in Türkiye new destinations, such as Ordu. Our growth strategy focuses on expanding our existing brands like Swissôtel, Mövenpick, Novotel, and the ibis family, while also exploring opportunities to introduce our new brands to the diverse and vibrant tourism centers of Türkiye."

Accor committed to opening 20 more hotels in Türkiye by end of 2025

Accor is determined to strategically expand its presence in Türkiye over the coming years. "We are committed to leveraging the opportunities in the Turkish market with new projects that are preparing for 20 hotel openings by the end of 2025. We consider Türkiye a significant growth target for Accor, hence we are spreading our growth projects across the country," Stevens added.

Mövenpick set to arrive in Gaziantep

Stevens also noted that their development strategies not only involve exploring new destinations but also introducing new brands alongside existing ones in Anatolia. "For example, in Gaziantep, where we currently serve with our Novotel and ibis brands, we plan to soon introduce our Mövenpick brand. Our 2024 strategic vision includes expansion into new cities like Ordu, following Trabzon in the Black Sea region. Additionally, we are strengthening our existing hotel portfolio in growing markets such as Istanbul, İzmir, Bodrum, and Antalya, where we still see opportunities for investment and growth. We are open to both management and franchising agreements," Stevens explained.
