Lynx Air files for bankruptcy, halts all operations

Based in Canada, Lynx Air is filing for bankruptcy and has decided to halt all operations starting Monday. CEO Jim Sullivan said in a statement, "Unfortunately, we couldn't withstand the pressure." In a letter sent to staff, he mentioned, "I guess this comes as a surprise to all of you. But sadly, we can no longer hold on. High inflation, soaring fuel, and operational costs have led us to this end. As of February 26, our operations will cease." The company also stated that necessary actions regarding passenger rights would be taken.

Norwegian Air to launch Oslo-İstanbul flights

İstanbul Airport Operator IGA announced that Norwegian Air will start flights from Oslo to IGA Istanbul Airport beginning April 14. The announcement made on IGA’s social media accounts said, "Norwegian Air will start flying from Oslo to IGA Istanbul Airport on Wednesdays and Fridays, starting April 14, 2024. This will bring the number of airlines flying to Istanbul Airport to 101."

Pegasus offers international flights starting at 9 Euro's

Pegasus is offering international flights starting at 9 Euro's + taxes. Tickets purchased on February 22-23, 2024, are valid for flights from March 11 to July 1, 2024. In addition to these prices, an extra cabin baggage allowance is also offered at 5 Euros.

Turkish Airlines to reduce flights to Pristina

Turkish Airlines has decided to reduce its flights to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. The airline will decrease its service from 14 to 12 frequencies per week on the İstanbul-Pristina route. The decision includes removing the flights on Wednesday mornings and Saturday evenings from the schedule.

Corendon Airlines has signed a significant partnership with 360T Platform, a company of Deutsche Börse, one of the world's largest stock exchanges. Through this collaboration, Corendon Airlines becomes the first company in Türkiye to execute commodity transactions with 360T Platform. The platform will assist Corendon Airlines in obtaining competitive pricing by allowing it to receive both commodity and currency pricing from multiple financial institutions simultaneously. 360T Platform will also play a role in finding new counter parties.
