As a leading global organization in payment technology, Mastercard extends its collaboration with one of the most respected gastronomy guides, the MICHELIN Guide, following its partnership in Istanbul to now include Izmir and Bodrum this year. The MICHELIN Guide will further disseminate Türkiye's rich and diverse gastronomy culture to wider audiences, continuing to enhance the country's gastronomic appeal.
Mastercard, renowned for offering invaluable experiences in areas that consumers passionately engage with, such as sports, culture, art, gastronomy, music, and shopping, continues to contribute to the international promotion of Turkish gastronomy. Following its official partnership with the MICHELIN Guide in Istanbul, Mastercard this year also extends its collaboration to include Izmir and Bodrum.
Ceren Türkben Kaya, Vice President of Consumer Marketing for Mastercard's Eastern Europe and Middle East region, expressed delight in renewing their partnership with the MICHELIN Guide, stating, "As Mastercard, we are thrilled about the path we've embarked on with the MICHELIN Guide. Türkiye is a country that stands out in the gastronomy world with its unique dishes and rich culinary culture. The MICHELIN Guide, with its high prestige and its contribution to the promotion of cities, significantly impacts tourism. We, at Mastercard, are very pleased to continue promoting the delightful gastronomic appeal of Istanbul, Izmir, and Bodrum to a wider audience by supporting this passion. With our collaboration from last year, we offered gastronomic experiences throughout the year to our cardholders through the Priceless Platform. We aim to continue offering different innovations to our users in the coming year, bringing the restaurants selected by the MICHELIN Guide to international platforms under our brand to cater to foreign gastronomy enthusiasts."
Mastercard cardholders will have the opportunity to engage in gastronomic experiences through the MICHELIN Guide partnership via the Priceless Platform throughout the year. Contents such as reservation privileges at starred restaurants and exclusive experiences with chefs will be provided to Mastercard users.
The highly anticipated 2024 restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide will be revealed through a special award ceremony on November 9th. During the ceremony, the 'Mastercard Best Service' award will be presented to the recipient.
