According to the Ministry's statement, Antalya achieved its best-ever visitor numbers for the January-September period. In the first nine months of 2024, the city hosted 14.07 million visitors, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, marking a significant milestone for the region's tourism industry.

Russia once again ranked as the top source of tourists to Antalya during the January-September period. A total of 3.25 million Russian tourists visited the city, making Russia the leading country in tourist arrivals. Germany followed with 2.7 million visitors, while the UK came in third with 1.3 million tourists.

Other top countries sending tourists to Antalya included Poland, Kazakhstan, Romania, the Netherlands, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

Russia dominates September tourism

Known for its year-round tourism potential with its unique climate, turquoise seas, golden beaches, high-quality resorts, lush nature, and rich history, Antalya also set a new record in visitor numbers in September.

The number of tourists visiting the city in September 2024 increased by 92,682 compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 2.34 million.

Russia once again topped the list of countries sending the most tourists to Antalya in September, with 603,775 visitors. Germany ranked second with 469,792 tourists, followed by Poland with 195,096 visitors. Other countries in the top 10 included the UK, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, and Moldova.
