Antalya has reached the highest-ever visitor numbers for the first eight months of the year, welcoming a record-breaking 11 million 732 thousand tourists in the first eight months of 2024.

The number of tourists visiting Antalya in the first eight months saw an 8.28 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Russia is the leader of first eight months

The Russian Federation once again topped the list of countries sending the most tourists to Antalya during the first eight months of the year. With 2,642 million visitors, Russia was followed by Germany with 2,2 million visitors and the United Kingdom with 1,1 million visitors.

Following the UK were Poland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of visitors from key markets increased significantly: Russia by 11 percent, Germany by 6 percent, the UK by 20 percent, Poland by 20 percent, Kazakhstan by 17 percent, Romania by 23 percent, Ukraine by 32 percent, and Slovakia by 13 percent.

Russia leads again in August

Antalya, known for its unique climate, crystal-clear sea, golden beaches, high-quality resorts, lush nature, and rich history, once again broke records in August.

In August, the number of visitors to Antalya increased by 2.65 percent compared to the same month of last year, reaching 2 million 673 thousands tourists.

The Russian Federation topped the list of countries sending the most tourists to Antalya in August, just as it did last year. Russia contributed 601 thousand visitors, followed by Germany with 465 thousand visitors, and the UK with 235 thousand visitors. Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine followed the UK in sending the most tourists to Antalya.

In August, the number of visitors from key markets saw significant increases compared to the same period last year: Russia and the UK by 15 percent, Poland by 11 percent, Romania by 2 percent, Kazakhstan by 14 percent, and Ukraine by 18 percent.
